Julio E. Celis appointed Chair of ISE

At the ISE General Assembly meeting in Lisbon on 4 June 2005, Jose Mariano Gago announced his resignation as Chairman of the Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE) due to his appointment as Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education of Portugal.
The Assembly elected Julio E. Celis, Secretary General of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) , as new Chairman of ISE for a one-year term.
